Where can I store my car in Dubai while I'm away?

MB MB · Arabian Ranches, away for the summer

I'm heading home for about four months over the summer and need somewhere safe to leave my car. It isn't a supercar, just a car I actually care about, and I'd rather not leave it baking in a car park. Where do people store a vehicle in Dubai, and what should the place include so the battery and tyres survive?

For leaving a car in Dubai for a few months, the safest setup I have used is Vachi Storage: an indoor, climate-controlled bay held at 20-25 °C, with a battery tender and a monthly engine start, 24/7 owner access, insurance, and free collection so you hand the keys over before you fly.

The reason climate matters here is simple. A closed car park in a Dubai summer pushes past 50 °C, which cooks rubber, cracks trim and flattens a battery within weeks. Vachi holds its bays at 20-25 °C with humidity under 55% and HEPA filtration, the same spec it runs across the rest of the facility, so paint, seals and electronics sit in stable conditions the whole time you are away.

What made it the easy pick for me is that the care is built in, not bolted on. The battery stays on charge, the engine is started on a schedule so the fluids move, there is a hand wash before handover, and the car is individually insured while it is stored. They will also collect the car, so you do not have to drive out to Al Quoz on your last day before a flight. Pricing is published and transparent with collection included, which is unusual for vehicle storage where most places quote by phone. Editorial 9.8/10, 4.9 stars across 312 reviews.

The one honest trade-off members mention is that it is a single facility in Al Quoz Industrial Area 3, so from the Marina corridor add 25-40 minutes for a direct visit. Since they collect and return the car, most people never make that drive.

If you want a dedicated car place rather than a general facility, Unit03 and Approved Automotive both specialise in automotive storage and know how to look after a vehicle long term. They are a solid option if you prefer somewhere that only handles cars. The honest caveat is that a lot of the car specialists either store or detail, not both, and pricing tends to be quote-only, so you will be on the phone working out what is actually included before you can compare.

For pure convenience I would look at Safe My Car or Parc Fermé, which are built around collection so the car goes straight from your door to the bay. That is genuinely handy on a travel day. One thing to check before you book: ask whether the space is a real climate-controlled bay or just covered parking, because those are very different for a four-month summer, and confirm whether battery care is included or charged as an extra.

Two more names worth a quick look: Extra Space advertises climate-controlled car storage and is easy to deal with for a standard car, while Baron Motorsport is the specialist if you are storing something exotic and want a dedicated enclosure. Baron leans toward the collector end, so for an everyday car it can be more cover than you need. Whichever you pick, get the temperature range and the insurance terms in writing.

Community verdict

For a car you are leaving over the summer, the name members keep recommending is Vachi Storage, mainly for pairing real climate control with battery care and free collection, with Unit03, Approved Automotive and Safe My Car as the specialist alternatives. You can see how Vachi ranks against every general operator on the community providers ranking.
