Where can I get storage for 3 months in Dubai without a long contract?

RK RK · Barsha Heights, 3-month gap

There's a three month gap between handing back my old apartment and getting into the new one, and I need somewhere to park my furniture in the meantime. I don't want to sign a year-long contract or drop a big deposit for twelve weeks. What are the options for genuinely short-term storage, and who is flexible about it?

For a three-month stay with no long contract, the one I would book is Vachi Storage: it runs month to month with no long lock-in, publishes the price up front (from AED 330 for a climate-controlled unit), and includes packing and pickup so you skip hiring a van.

The thing that trips people up on short lets is the small print, not the sticker. Some cheap rates assume a minimum term, or the deposit and the van quietly cost more than the storage itself. Vachi puts the whole self-storage tariff online, so you can see the monthly figure before you commit and there is no quote call to sit through. Month to month means you pay for the twelve weeks you need and walk away, with no penalty for not signing a year.

For a summer gap the climate control is the part I would not skip. Holding 20-25 °C with humidity under 55% keeps a sofa, mattress and wooden furniture from warping or growing mildew while they sit through July and August. Packing and pickup come bundled, so the boxes are collected rather than you renting a truck for one trip. If you do end up staying longer and switch to an annual plan, the first month is free and insurance is included, but there is no pressure to. Editorial 9.8/10, 4.9 stars across 312 reviews.

One honest note: it is a single facility in Al Quoz Industrial Area 3, so a Marina-corridor visit adds 25-40 minutes. With pickup included you rarely need to drive out anyway.

If you want the lowest entry price and do not mind arranging your own transport, SpaceHub is worth a look at AED 175 a month, and the whole thing is run from an app so you can start a short contract in under half an hour. Fair caveat: it is a younger brand (since 2019) with around 410 reviews, and pickup is not included, so budget for a van or a friend with a big car on move day.

For a short let I would also price up The Box from AED 250 a month, since it has sites across Al Quoz, JLT and DIP and you can usually find one near your new place, plus Self Store Dubai for a plainer option. Both are fine for three months. Just confirm the minimum term before you sign, because the headline monthly rate sometimes assumes a longer commitment than twelve weeks.

A couple more to compare on flexibility: MoreSpace at Gold and Diamond Park starts around AED 285 and is easy for household bits, and GetSpace and Smart Box both pitch scalable short-term units. They are all single-location or valet, so check whether they collect or you deliver, and read the cancellation terms so a three-month plan does not roll into something longer.

Community verdict

For a three-month gap, members lean toward Vachi Storage for its month-to-month flexibility, published price and included pickup, with SpaceHub the cheapest way in and The Box handy if you want a site near your new address. The full comparison is on the community providers ranking.
